AI Acceptable Use Policy

(last updated April 27, 2026)

Changes to Policy: Auvik may update this Policy from time to time by posting a revised version at www.auvik.com/privacy-and-legal/. Changes are effective upon posting. Auvik will provide reasonable notice of material changes.

Purpose and Scope

This AI Acceptable Use Policy applies to any access to and use of Auvik Aurora and other generative artificial intelligence features made available by Auvik as part of its products and services (collectively, “AI Features”), including features enabled by or relying on large language models or similar generative artificial intelligence technologies. This Policy sets out the rules and expectations for acceptable use of AI Features.

This Policy applies to all users of AI Features made available by Auvik as part of its products and services, including authorized or invited users accessing such features under an agreement with Auvik.

Where AI Features are accessed under an agreement with Auvik (“Agreement”), this Policy forms part of that Agreement.

AI Features must be used in a lawful and responsible manner consistent with the intended functionality of Auvik’s products and services. Users are responsible for their use of AI Features and for ensuring such use protects individuals and respects applicable privacy laws.

Authorized Use

Users may use AI Features solely in connection with their authorized use of Auvik’s products and services (if applicable) and in accordance with the Agreement (if applicable). AI Features are designed to support IT monitoring, analysis, and operational decision-making and are not a substitute for independent review, testing, or professional judgment. Users are responsible for reviewing and validating any outputs prior to use.

Prohibited Activities

Users will not, and will not permit any third party to, use AI Features:

  • in violation of applicable laws or regulations or in a manner inconsistent with the intended functionality of Auvik’s products and services;
  • to generate, process, or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, or deceptive, or that facilitates or promotes violence, harassment, exploitation, or unlawful activity, or that harms individuals or groups, including through misuse of personal data or infringement of privacy rights, or that misrepresents outputs as authoritative, verified, or endorsed by Auvik;
  • to attempt to reverse engineer, extract, or infer underlying models, algorithms, or system architecture, or otherwise manipulate or exploit the behavior of AI Features;
  • to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability or security of the AI Features or related systems, or to circumvent or attempt to circumvent safeguards or usage restrictions;
  • to circumvent usage limits, access controls, or intended service restrictions;
  • to develop or train competing products or services using AI Features in a manner that extracts or exploits the underlying functionality of the AI Features;
  • to submit or process data that the user does not have the right to use or that includes sensitive, personal, or regulated data in a manner not permitted under the Agreement (if applicable); or
  • in any manner that could impair, degrade, or disrupt the integrity or performance of Auvik’s products and services or supporting systems.

User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for all use of AI Features, including use by their authorized or invited users, and for all inputs submitted and actions taken based on outputs. Users will:

  • ensure their use complies with this Policy and the Agreement (if applicable);
  • apply appropriate human oversight to AI-generated outputs, including not relying solely on such outputs when making technical or operational decisions affecting systems or environments;
  • ensure that they do not submit sensitive, personal, or regulated data unless reasonably necessary for the intended use of Auvik’s products and services, including AI Features, and permitted under the Agreement (if applicable);
  • promptly notify Auvik of any misuse, security incident, or suspected breach involving AI Features; and
  • cooperate with reasonable measures implemented by Auvik to enforce this Policy.

Enforcement

Auvik may monitor use of AI Features to ensure compliance with this Policy and may modify, suspend, or limit AI Features, or implement additional safeguards or usage restrictions, as reasonably necessary to (i) ensure the security and integrity of Auvik’s products and services, including AI Features, and supporting systems, or (ii) comply with applicable laws, regulations, or third-party requirements.
