So you slept in, you’re late to work, and you’re sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Instead of brooding and slowly feeling your blood pressure increase, Auvik has something to help you pass the time productively—whether you’re in an ulcer-inducing traffic jam or you simply want to learn more about the MSP space.
Tomorrow, we’re launching the first episode of Frankly MSP, a 20- to 30-minute tech podcast featuring straightforward interviews and industry news. It’s not another sales pitch or rambling monologue; it’s meant to fit into your day and add value.
We may be biased, but we think it’s going to be awesome.
Podcasts have become more popular over the past several years as both fictional (such as the cult-like Serial) and non-fictional series cash in on the appetite for ad-free, accessible content. Forbes says another reason podcasts are surging is widespread mobile internet access and consumer connectivity, allowing for accessible and convenient listening.
While the home is still the most popular location to listen to podcasts, vehicles and the workplace rank second and third. Auvik knows how monotonous a commute can be; that’s why we want to offer an engaging and informative way to make the most of your travel time.
New York magazine also makes a great point: connected cars are growing in popularity. Since it reports 44% of radio consumption occurs in the car, vehicles that connect to Apple CarPlay and Google apps make it easy to listen to your favourite podcast. It might even make you feel as though you have company during that solo commute.
Or, for those who can listen to podcasts at the workplace, they offer a great proactive break. Sitting and reading a screen can be draining (despite your doctor calling it “inactivity”), and listening to smart people teach you MSP tips and tricks could be quite reinvigorating.
If you regularly listen to podcasts, you’re not alone.
Since 2013, the number of Americans who listen to podcasts on a monthly basis has doubled from 12% to 24%.
- Both genders enjoy podcasts, although there is a male skew (56%).
- The majority of podcast listeners are between 18 and 54 (77%).
- More listeners use a mobile device to access podcasts rather than a computer (69%).
What’s so great about Frankly MSP?
Our podcast will bring you the best of both worlds: valuable information that’s free and convenient. Frankly MSP will be an engaging way to stay current on industry developments, and will be available wherever you choose to listen—at home, in your car or at work.
You’ll hear from top channel experts during interviews and there will even be a regular segment from two well-known MSP industry pundits, Karl Palachuk and Richard Tubb. The goal is to help MSPs improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability. We’ll offer tips, tricks, and practical news to learn about the space and grow your business.
It’s not just another podcast.
How do I listen?
Frankly MSP will be available on iTunes and Apple’s Podcasts app starting tomorrow, when the first episode drops. The second and third episodes will be released Thursday and Friday, so prepare to receive some hot knowledge over the next couple of days.
